The Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office, together with investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has completed an investigation into allegations of a coup attempt brought by Serdar Sertçelik, one of the members of the criminal organization Kaplanlar. Local media reported this.

Law enforcement officers did not find any evidence that would confirm a conspiracy against the leadership of the republic in the security forces.

At the same time, the version that the mafia had been preparing the operation against the authorities was not ruled out, the Hurriyet newspaper writes.

Let us remind you that in the middle of this month an emergency meeting was held between the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Chairmen of National Intelligence Organization and the Ministry of Justice, the central topic of which was a possible coup attempt. The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the authorities would identify the structures working against them and the people.
