The Russian company Red Wings began operating direct flights between Makhachkala and Pskov.
"Today, the first Red Wings flight from Pskov landed at Makhachkala airport. <…> Tickets for the first flight were sold out almost 100%",
the press service of the airport said.
Travelers can depart from Pskov to Dagestan every Thursday. The company has included one flight per week in its schedule.
Sweet treats were given to the first tourists arriving on flights in Makhachkala. The plane was greeted with a traditional water arch. The welcoming ceremony for the first flight to the new destination was attended by the General Director of Makhachkala Airport, Said Ramazanov, and the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the region, Magomed Gabibulaev.
