Egypt discovers Israeli attempts to attack Hamas leaders in Cairo

Egypt has discovered Israeli plots to target Hamas leaders in Cairo and has warned Israel that any attack will be responded to with force, Middle East Eye reported.

“Intelligence reports suggest that Israel has been plotting to assassinate Hamas leaders in Cairo for some time," the report reads.

Cairo said that any attempt on the lives of Hamas leaders on Egyptian soil would be considered as a violation of its sovereignty, which they would not hesitate to retaliate against.

At the same time, Egypt said they had no prior knowledge of the Doha strike.
