Kazakh energy sector ready to transport Russian oil to Uzbekistan

Russian oil may be transported to Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan, according to the Kazakh Ministry of Energy.

The ministry clarified its readiness to provide supplies if Moscow makes the necessary request.

During the first nine months of this year, Russia shipped 7.5 million tons of oil through Kazakhstan.

Russian oil transit volumes through Kazakhstan reached 9.9 million tons to China and 225,000 tons to Uzbekistan over the past year, the Energy Ministry added.
