Russia among Azerbaijan's top three trading partners in 2025

Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee has released its primary trading partner data for January-August 2025.

The republic currently exports to 112 countries while importing from 167 nations.

Oil and gas sector trade reached $31.691 billion, with exports accounting for 52.5% of this total.

Non-oil and gas exports grew 10.3% year-on-year to $2.399 billion, dominated by Russia (34%), Türkiye (16.4%), Switzerland (9.2%), and Georgia (9.0%).

According to the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the republic's main foreign trade turnover was with the following countries:

• Italy – 25.9%,
• Türkiye – 12.0%,
• Russia – 10.4%,
• China – 9.2%,
• Germany – 3.2%.

The main suppliers of products to Azerbaijan were:

• China – 19.1%,
• Russia – 16.8%,
• Türkiye – 10.3%,
• The USA – 5.0%,
• The UK – 4.6%.

The main buyers of Azerbaijani products were:

• Italy – 46.7%,
• Türkiye – 13.4%,
• Russia – 4.8%
