Russian President Vladimir Putin has endorsed the idea of designating 2026 as the Year of Unity for Russia's peoples.
One of the members of the Council for Interethnic Relations, ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov proposed this to the president.
"We will do so," Vladimir Putin said.
The Russian president instructed Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to prepare the drafts of the necessary resolutions.
