Russia's President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is preparing for a meeting with his partners from the USA.

"He has his own schedule, which he shared with me. He told me what he will be doing and when. Currently, he is focused on preparing for a meeting with his US partners",

Vladimir Putin said.

The Russian leader made this statement to address speculation about the Foreign Minister's long absence from international diplomatic activities.
