The UK government has approved a new set of sanctions aimed at Russia's oil sector, adding a total of 24 entities and individuals to its sanctions list.

The targeted companies reportedly include major Russian firms Tatneft, RussNeft, RusNeftegaz, and NNK-Oil, alongside five individuals.

This move follows the EU's own announcement of new sanctions against Russia on December 15, which similarly focused on oil export companies and several individuals linked to the Valdai Discussion Club.
