Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's participation in the informal CIS summit.
"They (meetings – the editor's note) will take place since Putin naturally conducts individual consultations with all participants during these two days. Such days of informal communication are always accompanied by separate informal bilateral contacts – that represents this format's essential value"
Dmitry Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman emphasized this constitutes a mandatory part of the program, according to TASS.
Peskov previously confirmed yesterday that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is anticipated at the informal CIS heads of state summit in St. Petersburg.
"We are waiting, we are preparing",
Dmitry Peskov said.
The informal CIS heads of state consultations commence today in St. Petersburg. It will last for two days – from December 21 to December 22.
