Egyptian Ambassador to Azerbaijan: Baku and Cairo may be linked by direct flight

Husameddin Effat Mustafa Reda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan, noted that Azerbaijan and Egypt are considering establishing the air connection, highlighting significant potential for increasing mutual tourist traffic.

"I think both Egypt and Azerbaijan have the potential to increase mutual tourist flow. I would like Baku and Cairo to become key tourist destinations for both countries",

Husameddin Effat Mustafa Reda said.

The ambassador emphasized that launching direct flights would enhance not only tourism but also business and cultural ties.

Currently, direct flights operate to the resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh. For the Baku-Cairo route, the project plans to involve private Egyptian aviation companies.
