11 sets of medals to be played for on third day of First European Games

Today the First European Games in Baku will host rowing, gymnastics, karate, synchronized swimming, table tennis, triathlon, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.

On the third day of the European Games 11 sets of medals will be played for, three in karate among men, three in karate among women, four in Greco-Roman wrestling among men and one in Triathlon among men.

Part of the competition has already started. The morning began with rowing in Mingachevir: 1000m in the men's singles, doubles and quadruple canoe and kayak, 500 meters in the women's singles, doubles and quad kayak. In the afternoon semi-finals will be held in all disciplines.

On the national stage of gymnastics there are qualifying competitions in gymnastics, for the right to qualify for the medal competition among the men and women's teams. Russia is represented by Aliya Mustafina, Nikolai Kuksenkov, Victoria Komova, Nikita Ignatiev, David Belyavskiy and Sedoy Tukhalyan. The Azerbaijani national team is represented by Oleg Stepko, Petro Pahnyuk, Eldar Safarov, Julia Inshina, Marina Nekrasova, and Kristina Pravdina.
