In Dagestan, in 2019, law enforcement officers prevented activities of the 11 cells of the ISIS terror group banned in Russia, the Deputy Director of the FSB of Russia, the head of the apparatus of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) Igor Sirotkin said.
He specified that the militant cells were neutralized in Buinaksk, Derbent, Kaspiysk, Kizlyar and Makhachkala.
