Twelve police officers were wounded in a shooting in Derbent, a city in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, and two of them have died, TASS reports.
"Twelve people were injured and two have died in the hospital," a hospital staff member said, adding that all of them are police officers.
Earlier reports said three police officers were wounded as unknown attackers threw a grenade at them and later opened fire. The shooting was carried out from one of apartments when police officers were conducting a raid in a house.
