Today in Baku the ninth day of the European Games has started, during which competitions will be held in archery, beach volleyball, boxing, road cycling, diving, artistic gymnastics, shooting, volleyball and water polo.
Today the athletes will contend for 18 medal sets: one set in water polo, three in archery, two sets in diving, ten in artistic gymnastics, one set in road cycling and one in beach volleyball.
Azerbaijani athletes will take part in archery, boxing, artistic gymnastics, road cycling and diving events.
The First European Games will last till June 28. There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
