The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said today that Moscow police have arrested 20 natives of the republic who intended to leave the country and join Islamic State in Syria.
"Thanks to special measures we managed to identify an apartment in Moscow which was used as a transshipment base. About 20 young people were detained. They were brought to Chechnya,’’ he said.
