More than 20 thousand applications were sent for participation in the volunteer program of the World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS), which will be held from on October 14-21 in Sochi, the press service of the organizing committee of the festival reported.
"As of February 17th, the applications to participate in the volunteer program were sent by about 20 thousand people from Russia and foreign countries. The bidding campaign for the festival volunteers extended until March 31st 2017, the press service reports, adding that only 5 thousand volunteers are needed for the festival, RIA Novosti reports.
