Today the Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission held a regular meeting, at which it was noted that, in total, so far 217 people have been registered to participate in the parliamentary elections on November 1st, 123 of whom are representatives of different political parties, with another 94 self-nominated candidates.
According to Trend, 1449 people appealed to the Central Electoral Commission to register as candidates, 557 of whom were nominated by parties, 60 by political blocs, and three by initiative groups, with the remaining 829 being self-nominated. The participation of 1351 people was approved, they all received signature lists.
