23 sets of medals to be played for on fifteenth day of First European Games

Today in Baku the fifteenth day of the European Games has started, during which competitions will be held in badminton, basketball, beach soccer, boxing, BMX cycling, fencing, judo, swimming and volleyball.

On the fifteenth day of the European Games, the athletes will contend for 23 medal sets:  two sets in fencing (men's team sabre, women's foil and women's epee), seven sets in swimming (50m and 200m backstroke, 800 m freestyle among men and 100m butterfly, 50m and 200m freestyle and 4x100 m medley relay among women), two in 3x3 basketball (among men and women), five sets in boxing (men's up to 52 kg, up to 64 kg, over 91 kg, and women's up to 54 kg, up to 64 kg),  six in judo (men's up to 73 kg, up to 81 kg, women's up to 63 kg, up to 70 kg, women's blind judo up to 57 kg and men's blind judo up to over 90 g).

The final competitions in boxing will be held in three men's weight categories. Elvin Mamishzada (Azerbaijan) and Vincenzo Picardi (Italy) will fight in men's weight category up to 52 kg. Collazo Sotomayor (Azerbaijan)  Vincenzo Mangiacapre (Italy) will compete for gold in men's weight category up to 64 kg. Russian Hasan Gimbatov will fight with Joe Joyce from the UK in in men's weight category up to 91 kg.

The semifinal competitions in boxing will be held in another four men's weight categories. Albert Salimov (Azerbaijan) will fight with Sean McComb (Ireland) and Mateusz Polski (Poland) will fight with Sofiane Oumiha (France) in men's weight category up to 60 kg. Alexander Besputin (Russia) and Yaroslav Samofalov (Ukraine), Parviz Baghirov (Azerbaijan) and Josh Kelly (United Kingdom) will compete in men's weight category up to 69 kg. Maxim Koptyakov (Russia) and Michael O'Reilly (Ireland) and Haybula Musalov (Azerbaijan) and Zoltan Harcsa (Hungary) will fight in men's weight category up to 75 kg. Saddam Magomedov (Russia) and Abdulkadir Abdullayev (Azerbaijan), Gevorg Manukyan (Ukraine) and Josip Bepo Filipe (Croatia) will meet in men's weight category up to 91 kg.

The final competitions in boxing will be held in two women's weight categories: Elena Savelyeva (Russia) and Marcia Davide (Italy) will fight for gold in the category up to 54 kg, Anastasia Belyakova (Russia) and Valentina Alberti (Italy) will compete in the category up to 64 kg. The semifinal competitions in boxing will be held in another two women's weight categories: Yana Alekseeva (Azerbaijan) and Katie Taylor (Ireland), Estelle Mossley (France) and Tashina Bugara (Germany) will fight in the categories up to 54 kg and 60 kg.

The semifinal rounds in men's volleyball teams will be held today, where the Russian team will meet the German team and Poland will play with Bulgaria. Ukraine and Slovakia, Russia and Spain will compete in women's 3x3 basketball, and the teams of Russia and Slovakia, Serbia and Spain will play in men's 3x3 basketball.
