At least three terrorists have been “neutralized” during a counterterrorism operation in southeastern Turkey, Anadolu Agency reports with a reference to a security source. Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
One PKK terrorist was captured, while two others were killed during the operation in the Semdinli district of Hakkari province, said the source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media.
The operation is still ongoing, the source added.
