37th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Baku is perfect, Fanny Pigniczki says

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation ideally holds the World Championships, Hungarian gymnast Fanny Pigniczki said in an interview with the Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent after her performance in the qualifying exercises with a ribbon at the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.

“I am here in Baku for the 5th time, I feel like at home here. The tournaments are always held at the highest level here, and the AGF organized this World Championships perfectly. This is the best tournament in my life,” she said.

Fanny Pigniczki admitted that she does not notice the audience during her performance, but thanked the Baku fans for their support. The athlete added that she is currently studying to become a rhythmic gymnastics coach in Budapest and wants to become a psychologist.

This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”.
