3rd day of 37th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships kicks off in Baku

In Baku, at the National Gymnastics Arena, the 3rd day of the 37th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships begins.

Today, the individual qualifications in exercises with clubs and ribbon will take place. Tomorrow, the second half of the qualifications in these disciplines will take place, the individual finals will be held in the evening.

On the first two days of the World Championships, the competitions in the individual exercises with a hoop and ball were held. Recall that the gold medals were won by Russians: Ekaterina Selezneva became the world champion in hoop exercises, and Dina Averina - the world champion in ball exercises.

On Friday, the competitions in the all-around individual program will be held. Then, on Saturday-Sunday, there will be qualifications and finals of teams in two disciplines: exercises with five balls and exercises with three hoops and two pairs of clubs.

This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”.
