4,8-magnitude earthquake hits Russian-Georgian border

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Ingushetia, 10 kilometers from the Russian-Georgian border.

The National Seismic Monitoring Center of Georgia reports that the shocks were recorded at 08:49 Tbilisi time, the hypocenter was located at a depth of 9 km.

There are no reports of casualties or destruction.

It should be noted that the most seismically active in Russia is the eastern part of the North Caucasus - the territories of Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia and North Ossetia.
