An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 points was registered in eastern Georgia on Tuesday afternoon.
The earthquake epicenter was located 53 km from Tbilisi, the national seismological center said.
"The epicenter is located in an unpolluted area. Tremors were felt in Georgia’s southern and eastern parts, including the capital, Tbilisi," TASS cited the center as saying.
Local officials said no damage or victims were reported.
