4-magnitude earthquake hits Azerbaijan

A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan’s Goychay district yesterday, the director of the Republican Seismological Survey Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Gurban Yetirmishli, said, APA reports.  

According to him, the quake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometers at 17:41 local time.

Tremors measuring nearly 3-magnitude were felt in surrounding districts as well, the chief seismologist added.
