Today about 50 Georgian citizens are fighting in Syria on the side of the terrorist organization Islamic State, the deputy head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Levan Izoria, reported.
According to him, criminal cases have already been initiated against them and investigations are conducted "where there is concrete evidence of their activities." In this regard, if citizens who sided with the terrorists return to Georgia, they "will answer before the law."
As TASS writes, after the terrorist attacks in Paris Georgia intensified security at airports and on its borders, increasing police personnel and mobilizing additional border military units.
