Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, is hosting the closing ceremony of the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis, Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent reports.
Representatives of the Diaspora, awarded by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, received honorary titles, orders and medals. A group of diaspora activists was awarded the medal "For Services to the Diaspora".
On behalf of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Work with Diaspora, gratitude was expressed to government agencies for their support in organizing the 5th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha at a high level.
Maftun Abbasov, chairman of the board of the Shusha State Reserve, proposed holding the 6th Congress of World Azerbaijanis in the renovated and restored Shusha. Currently, seven new arrays are being built in the city
