6.2 magnitude earthquake hits Papua New Guinea highlands

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in Papua New Guinea highlands on Saturday, News.am reported citing European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

Earthquake shocks were recorded 93 km south-west of the city of Porgera with the epicenter laying at the depth of 8 kilometers.

There have been no reports about casualties and destructions yet.
