Residents of dozens of villages in Armenia were without power on January 2 due to severe weather. Earlier, heavy snowfall hit the republic.

According to the Electric Networks of Armenia, residents of over 50 villages were temporarily affected by power outages.
Another 6 villages in the Lori province were without power due to two collapsed power transmission towers.
Power has already been restored to all major areas. In other areas, power is expected to be restored within the next few hours.
