A third more tourists visited Ingushetia

Starting from last year the flow of tourists to Ingushetia has increased by 35%. In particular, tourists were coming from China, Korea and Turkey, the chairman of Republican Committee for Tourism Stanislav Aristov reported.

"In first half of the year the number of tourists visiting the region amounted to 18.5 thousand people, which is almost 4.8 thousand more than in the same period last year," TASS quoted him as saying.

"Interest is caused by events in the region: an annual tournament in mixed martial ars MMA M-1 "Battle in the Mountains", the festival "Dagger", the "Battle of Nartov" as well as the mountainous part of the republic, on the territory of which the Erzi nature reserve is located, and more than 2 thousand objects of cultural and historical heritage," Aristov said.
