The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation is doing a great job for the benefit of world gymnastics, Uzbek gymnast Nurinisso Usmanova said today in an interview with a Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent after performing in qualifying exercises with clubs at the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
“I’m glad to return to international competitions in Baku because here the organization is always at the highest level. That is, I like absolutely everything that AGF does. And the arena here is just a delight!” the gymnast said.
“AGF, of course, does a lot to ensure that the world gymnastics develops as a whole. For several years they have been constantly conducting many competitions, this year, there are especially many of them. That is amazing that they do everything so well. I really like the Azerbaijan Federation, "Nurinisso Usmanova admitted.
Also, the Uzbek gymnast noted the constant development of Azerbaijani athletes. “They are really good at group exercises. Zohra Agamirova is strong. Literally, in a year, they have improved their skills markedly, and at the Universiade, Zohra performed very well,” the athlete said.
This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”
