ATOR reports on situation with tourist poisoning in Türkiye

In the summer of 2025, no increase in the number of poisoning cases has been observed in Türkiye, ATOR reports.

"The largest insurance companies working with tour operators in Türkiye have not recorded an increase in the number of poisonings, including acute infectious cases, among tourists vacationing at the resorts of this country",

ATOR said.

Currently, several hundred thousand tourists from Russia are vacationing at Turkish resorts. The report notes that "among this number there will always be cases of illness, poisoning, and injuries."

"According to insurers, the number of claims for poisoning and severe infectious intoxications in Turkey this August has remained within the long-term average",

ATOR said.

Earlier, the media reported mass poisoning of tourists due to the Vibrio bacteria. According to insurers, there have been no cases of Russians being infected with this bacteria.
