The head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdullatipov, speaking before the deputies of the National Assembly of the republic, declared his intention to appeal to the State Duma with a legislative initiative on the deprivation of citizenship of individuals who are combatants or who have fought abroad in various terrorist organizations, whose activity is directed against Russia.
The idea, which he proposed, was unanimously supported by legislators. They only offered to extend the effect of the proposed measure to persons "who participate or have participated in the fighting on the side of the terrorists against Russian peacekeeping forces outside the country," Interfax reports.
