Today Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abramyan asked those protesting against the increase of electricity tariffs to leave Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.
"The demonstrators will not achieve any goal if they continue to block one of the main thoroughfares of the city," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
Abramyan stressed that the authorities agree to discuss any issues. "To impede the free movement of citizens is to violate the constitution and the laws. I urge our friends to return to the constructive field and to discuss issues that concern our society," he said to the protesters.
