Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev said that the country is interested in attracting more Russian tourists.
“The Russian market remains a priority for us,” the minister stressed, expressing hope that "the number of Russian tourists will increase.”
Garayev pointed out that the number of tourists traditionally visiting Turkey could significantly decrease after the deterioration in Russian-Turkish relations. But he is confident that the "politicians will resolve this issue and the process will be normalized". "But we should also react to these processes,” Trend cited him as saying.
Garayev said that the Azerbaijan Tourism Association has already carried out joint work with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
