Kyrgyzstan made a proposal to reduce the cost of flights between the EAEU countries at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council's meeting in Minsk.
"We must also think about finding new solutions for the cost of air transportation between the EAEU countries. The cost of air tickets plays an important role in ensuring the mobility of people, including having a direct impact on the development of tourism within the union",
the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said.
According to him, tourism accounts for over 7.5% of global GDP today. In the next decade, the share of tourism could grow to 11.6% of GDP.
The Eurasian Economic Union includes Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Armenia.
