Airbus A320 aircraft en route to Grozny makes emergency landing at Sheremetyevo

An A320 plane has made an emergency landing at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport, which was caused by a signal from the fire detection system, an emergencies source said.

"Flight 1498 en route from Moscow to Grozny returned to Sheremetyevo after receiving a signal from a fire sensor," TASS cited the source as saying.

The plane with 155 on board stayed in the air for two hours to burn fuel and landed in a routine mode. No one was injured.
