The 'Akinci' air base located in Ankara has been renamed as 'Murted', Trend reports citing HaberTurk newspaper.
This air base was used as a stronghold of plotters during the recent military coup attempt in Turkey.
Reportedly, the 'Akinci' air base was called 'Murted' till 1995.
