Tomorrow, a ceremony of the beginning of the practical implementation of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant project will be held in the Turkish province of Mersin. The event will be attended by the head of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev, and the head of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Berat Albayrak, the press secretary of the project company Akkuyu Nuclear, Murat Fyrat said.
He added that this is not the beginning of a full-fledged construction of nuclear power plants, but the preparation to the power units construction, RIA Novosti reports.
Recall, the relevant intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Turkey was signed in 2010.
