Baku spectators’ support is amazing, a Slovakian gymnast Alena Ucnova told Vestnik Kavkaza after her performance in the women individual exercises in European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
“It’s my first time at such big competitions. And I like the organization so much. Everything is good. I am satisfied,” she stressed.
“The audience’s support is amazing here. When I came to the floor, Azerbaijani fans shouted my name. It was a pleasant surprise for me! It’s so sweet,” Alena Ucnova said.
“Baku is a very nice city, people are very nice as well. The Azerbaijani Gymnastic Federation has organized the competition perfectly,” the Slovakian gymnast concluded.
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku welcomes FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. Athletes from 22 countries participate in the tournament. Juniors and seniors perform in individual exercises among men and women, mixed pairs, trio and groups, aerodance, as well as aerostep – only for seniors. There will also be winners in junior and senior team ratings. Athletes will compete for 15 sets of medals.
