Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has recently met with an Azeri veteran from Tabriz. The corresponding video was spread by the Iranian mass media.
Khamenei spoke with the veteran in the Azerbaijani language. The veteran told him that he had lost his sight in fighting in Kurdistan, and asked Iran's Supreme Leader to pray for him.
Khamenei gave the veteran a promise to pray for his health and kissed his forehead.
Recall that the Supreme Leader of Iran is an ethnic Azeri.
