Nowhere in the world there are such good conditions for gymnasts as in Azerbaijan, the famous Azerbaijani gymnast, medalist of European and World championships, European Champion in the exercises with rope, Aliya Garaeva said on the sidelines of the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.

First of all, Aliya Garayeva noted that she came to support the Azerbaijani team. ”According to the results of the competitions, Zohra went to the finals of the exercises with clubs, she is not just in the top 24. I congratulate both Zohra and the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation on this achievement," she said, the Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent reports.

"In Baku, there is always a very good organization of tournaments and training. The arena is wonderful. I had a chance to work in Europe, and I will say that nowhere in the world there are such good conditions as in Azerbaijan," Aliya Garaeva emphasized.

"I continue to follow the Azerbaijani gymnastics, I am interested in the girls' successes. Although I am a mother of two, I have grandmothers here who help me, and therefore, I am here to support our athletes," the 2007 European Champion said.

“I can advise girls to enjoy the whole process, because gymnastics is a sport for young people, and soon, unfortunately, everything fades away. We must understand that this is not forever and enjoy gymnastics here and now, as long as there is an opportunity. The more you give now, the more you receive later, especially while preparing for the Olympic Games, " Aliya Garaeva concluded.

This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”.
