Azerbaijani gymnasts reached finals of the FIG World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics with positive attitude, member of Azerbaijani team Aliya Pashayeva said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"We're happy with our performance, although there were some mistakes. Today we performed as a united team and fought to the end, we showed everything we can do. Of course, we will be capable of even more in the future," she stressed.
She also added that coach of the team Mariana Vasileva was pleased with their performance. "Overall, our coach approved our performance and said that we must perform as focused as we did today," she concluded.
The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is being at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on April 27-29. Some 127 gymnasts from 26 countries are participating in the tournament. Depending on the results of the qualification, the winners of all-around and the participants of the finals in individual apparatus in both types of programs will be determined. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
