The opposition parliamentary parties succeeded in reaching a consensus on the next day of voting for the new prime minister on May 8th, the head of the Yelk faction, the leader of the protesters against the Republican Party of Armenia and the only candidate for the post of prime minister, Nikol Pashinyan, said today at a rally in the center of Yerevan.
"The parliamentary factions Yelk , Dashnaktsutyun and Tsarukyan’s Block tomorrow will nominate my candidacy for the post of prime minister. The Republican Party has already stated that it will vote for my candidacy,’’ he said, referring to the RPA promise to vote for the candidate who will receive at least 35 votes of opposition factions.
