According to the US Embassy in Georgia, a destroyer of the 6th Fleet of the US Navy, USS Laboon, has reached the port of Batumi and will dock there until June 29.
"The visit of the US destroyer is a confirmation of the US’s desire to strengthen ties with NATO allies and partners like Georgia in order to solve common problems related to security and stability in the Black Sea,’’ TASS reports the embassy's statement.
