Americans who live in Iran can open bank accounts in the country, the lawyer from the Central Bank of Iran's (CBI) Legal Studies Department Hamid Ghanbari, said.
He noted that according to the US Department of the Treasury's recent issued allowance, American citizens with residence in Iran can open bank accounts in the country, Trend reported with reference to IRNA.
According to Ghanbari, nuclear-related US sanctions on Iran have been removed entirely and the remained sanctions imposed before 2006 don’t have any relation to the nuclear issue.
