An ancient statue, presumably related to Polovtsian culture. has been found in a gutter in Stavropol Territory by a resident of the village of Tischenskoe in the Izobilnensky district.
It is reported that the woman was returning home with her son from fishing, and accidentally saw a strange object in a gutter. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was a stone statue.
For the moment the discovery has been transferred to the Stavropol Regional Museum-Reserve, where specialists can carry out necessary studies and analysis, 'Caucasus Today' reports.
