Andrei Fedorov: We use Azerbaijan's experience during organization of 2nd European Games in Minsk

Preparation of the 2nd European Games, which will be held in Minsk from June 21 to 30, is now in full swing, Andrei Fedorov, member of the 2nd European Games Organizing Committee responsible for gymnastics competitions, said today on the sidelines of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.

“As you know, Minsk will hold the European Games after Baku. Right now preparations are in full swing. We're very close to completition. Recently, we marked 100 days before the games, so now there just some final touches left,” he said.

According to organizer, Minsk used the experience of the 1st European Games, which were held in Baku. “We use the experience of the first games, since don't have experience in holding such large-scale competitions in Belarus. That's why we use advices and suggestions of our friends from Azerbaijan."

He also spoke about gymnastics program of the 2nd European Games. “We will have competitions in five gymnastics disciplines, four of them have already had qualifying tournaments, and qualifiers in artistic gymnastics will be in April at the European Championship,” Andrey Fedorov said.
