Today the Head of the Powerlifting Federation of the Murmansk region Andrey Rodichev has begun to ascend Elbrus with 75-pound barbell on his shoulders. Thus, the athlete intends to draw attention to the financial problems of the federation.
The matter is that weightlifters of the Murmansk region today cannot afford a weight according to the relevant requirements of the professional competitions, as it costs about half a million rubles.
Rodichev hopes that this step will help to find sponsors.
