In the Stavropol Territory, a program is being launched to restore populations of some animals and birds. Last year, the mass death of some species was recorded.
Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory Roman Kovryga announced that the region is working on the program to restore animal and bird populations. In late 2022, the mass death of some species was recorded in the Stavropol Territory.
“Based on the extent to which the animal world has changed, we will make proposals regarding the acquisition of certain types of animals,”
- he said.
Kovryga noted that the leadership of Stavropol is working in cooperation with law enforcement officers, veterinarians and environmentalists.
The Minister noted that the greatest damage was caused to the populations of hare, mallard duck and swan.
