On the evening of April 12, the shootout between border guards occured on the Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border in the last 24 hours.
"On April 12, 2022, a repeated incident with the use of weapons occurred on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border", the statement says.
The shootout lasted half an hour. As a result of the incident, one Kyrgyz soldier was wounded, TASS reports.
